Hughscore

Hughscore is known as after veteran prog-rock/fusion bassist Hugh Hopper, who have plays within the music group and writes a lot of their materials. Their 1999 record Delta Flora can be fusiony rock and roll that’s within the nature of his previous work for the reason that style using the Soft Machine as well as other tasks. Texturally it’s even more interesting and assorted than many comparable such attempts, incorporating free-form jazz, fuzz bass, some ominous digital keyboards and synthesizer, and ambient passages that superficially carry some resemblance to modern music, but are much creepier. Hughscore differ between instrumentals and much more melodic, approachable tunes with lyrics, sung by keyboardist Elaine diFalco (who also writes a number of the songs on the recording) having a jazzy, measured existence.
