Howlington Brothers

Charles “Dub” Howlington and Roy Howlington were located in the Washington, D.C. region, and performed through the entire southeast, specifically on radio. They documented for Gotham in Philadelphia under a licensing contract with D.C. Information in Washington. The Howlingtons also led the support music group the Tennessee Haymakers, who evidently recorded individually as well-their line-up included Dub Howlington on guitar, Brownie Galloway on acoustic guitar, Jimmy Dean on accordion, and Roy Howlington on bass. Their solitary produces included “Our Shotgun BIG DAY” and “Move The Patrol, ” plus they cut for brands which range from Gotham and Loop to Decca and Atlantic at differing times.
