Howlin’ Wilf

b. Adam Hunter, Essex, Britain. As a young child Howlin’ Wilf was thinking about 50s rock and roll ‘n’ roll, resulting in a later understanding of Chicago blues, specially the music of Small Walter, and he received his initial guitar in 1977, when he was around 15 years of age. His first music group, the DMFs, performed at Colchester Labour Membership in 1983. He originally recorded using a rockabilly music group for the compilation released by Lost Minute Information in 1984. 2 yrs later he transferred to London, where he was touted as you of Britain’s best youthful blues performers, and along with his music group the Vee-Jays he quickly founded himself among the mainstays from the capital’s blues picture. A video, Live Wilf, was offered by Raucous Information. In 1989 he disbanded the Vee-Jays and got his music in even more of the R&B direction.
