Kenseth Thibideau of such critically lauded bands as Tarentel, Rumah Sakit, and Thingy leads Howard Hi there in intricate, indie rock and roll ambience. Playing experimental music that could match Steve Reich and Brian Eno, the acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and Wendy Allen’s angelic vocals produce haunting tunes that mix Papa M, Tunes: Ohia, and Jim O’Rourke with Tortoise. After shifting to NORTH PARK in 2001, Thibideau installed with Marty Anderson of Dilute and Wendy Allen from the Courtroom & Spark. The trio created Howard Hello to generate twisted but romantic noises. The group’s self-titled debut premiered on Temporary Home in March of 2002.
