Australian actor-turned-musician Howard Eynon spent the majority of his childhood on the farm in rural Tasmania before leaving for Melbourne at age 17 to try his hand at theater. Through the entire ’70s and early ’80s Eynon worked well in little productions around Melbourne, going after music mainly as a spare time activity. Whilst travelling around the united states participating in numerous shows and skill competitions, Eynon fulfilled maker Nick Armstrong, who asked him in to the studio room to focus on a full-length record. The consequence of almost a year of documenting was Eynon’s lone recorded output, JUST WHAT EXACTLY If I’m Position in Apricot Jam, a whimsical and frequently goofy assortment of acoustic psych-folk on par using the even more playful aspect of demented songwriters like Kevin Ayers and Syd Barrett. The record premiered in 1974 and quickly went of print, viewing reissue once again 40 years down the road the planet earth Recordings imprint. Small is well known of what became of Eynon after some theatrical performances in the first ’80s.
