Toronto native Howard Ayee performed bass on albums by Eddie Schwartz, B.B. Gabor, and Moe Koffman before starting up with Canadian fresh wave outfit Tough Trade in the first ’80s. He toured using the band for quite some time and made an appearance on Shaking the Foundations, Weaponry, O Tempora! O Mores!, and the brand new tracks on Parrots of the Feather: THE VERY BEST of Tough Trade. When the group folded, Ayee was known as in for program use synth pop duo Unusual Advance. Made by founding member Drew Arnott, 2wo premiered in 1985 and presented the Canadian strike “We Work.” Also during this time period, Ayee performed bass for the Atmosphere Source smash “Just like I Am” using their eponymous 1985 recording. A few years later, function began on a fresh Strange Progress record with Ayee up to speed as co-producer aswell as bassist. THE LENGTH Between, Unusual Advance’s third launch, hit the racks in 1988. Additionally this season, Ayee appeared around the debut recording by Toronto vocalist Paris Dark. Secret Seduction offered well in Canada and spawned many effective singles. The ’90s discovered Ayee dealing with guitarist/composer Domenic Troiano on a small number of projects. Ayee added his bass, creation, and songwriting abilities to albums by David Gibson, Johnny Rutledge, and Patria, all authorized to Troiano’s Dark Marketplace label. These produces — especially Gibson’s self-titled LP and Patria’s My Guidelines — had been well received in Canada. Besides focusing on information, Troiano and Ayee also distributed scoring duties for several network tv shows and made-for-TV films in the past due ’90s.
