Hoven Droven combines the melodic feeling of folk music using the strength and attitude of much metal group. Since coming jointly in the tiny city of Ostersund, the music group has continuing to roar with unleashed strength. Based on FolkRoots, the musical strategy of Hoven Droven is normally similar to “…calling strings, force pop, E2 brass, and something bell-for-leather melody with acid guitar feedback.” Hoven Droven had taken their name from a provincial slang term signifying “hullabaloo” or “whatever.” Many associates also perform with Swedish rock and roll, punk and rock groupings. The band’s frontman and violin participant Kjell-Erik Eriksson (b. 1971) and their newest member, Janne Stromstedt (who has Hammond body organ) will also be people of Triakel. The folk-meets-metal sound of Hoven Droven demonstrates the music artists’ varied backgrounds. While Eriksson mementos traditional folk music, bass participant Pedro Blom (b. 1967) is really a lover of Motörhead and AC/DC. Saxophonist Jens Comen (b. 1968) offers played rock and roll, pop, be-bop, and big-band jazz. Guitarist Bo Lindberg (b. 1960) can be an important music instructor and formerly caused the rock-band Myrbein. The group underwent a big change in path when unique member Gustav Hylen (trumpet, French horn, accordion, and percussion) was changed by Stromstedt in November 1997.
