House of Spirits

Dortmund, Germany’s Home of Spirits premiered in 1994 by ex – Jester’s March people Olaf Bilic (vocals) and Martin Hirsch (bass), along with guitarist Uwe Baltrusch (ex-Mekong Delta) and journeyman drummer Jörg Michael (Trend, Stratovarius, Running Crazy, etc.). Their debut record, Turn from the Tide, surfaced afterwards the same season and fared quite inauspiciously, in solely commercial conditions, but provides since been embraced by enthusiasts of progressive steel being a momentous discharge for the genre (similar to Queensrÿche throughout their Procedure: Mindcrime glory). Sadly, disagreements using their administration and record business, Gun Information, compounded with Baltrusch’s departure, resulted in the home of Spirits’ separation in 1996. However when an old demonstration found its method in to the offices of Germany’s personal Century Press, the band users were persuaded to regenerate Home of Spirits (with Benjamin Schrippritt upgrading on acoustic guitar) and record another, nearly as acclaimed, recording in 1999’s Psychosphere.
