House of Broken Promises

Home of Broken Claims arose in the ashes of Unida — the once highly touted stoner rock and roll powerhouse led by vocalist John Garcia, post-Kyuss — whose would-be second record became entangled in major-label intrigue and crimson tape, rather than (officially) found the light of time. Therefore when the journeyman vocalist took his fantastic pipes somewhere else in 2007, the rest of the trio of guitarist Arthur Seay, bassist Eddie Plasciencia (who acquired recently bought out for another departed Kyuss alum, Scott Reeder), and drummer Mike Cancino made a decision to begin again from nothing. They briefly caused vocalist Michael Keeth but understood that Plasciencia could deal with the microphone equally well, so after assessment new material around their home bottom of Indio, California, the energy trio agreed upon with Michigan’s Little Stone for the discharge of its 2009 debut record, Using the Worthless.
