Newbury Recreation area, CA’s Hotwire included guitarist/vocalist Rus Martin, guitarist Gabe Garcia, bassist Dan Hartman, and drummer Brian Borg. The four arrived collectively after playing in a variety of metallic, punk, and hardcore combos throughout senior high school. As Hotwire, the audio became riff-heavy metallic with vocals and dynamics affected by post-hardcore types like Refused and Quicksand. The music group recorded several demos, and started playing shows through the entire suburban sprawl of Southern California alongside rings like Incubus, Linkin Recreation area, Hoobastank, and Audiovent; which would discover fame on main labels searching for the next noisy thing. Quickly, Hotwire got its opportunity, aswell, and agreed upon with RCA in Dec 2000. After dealing with a number of big-name manufacturers, the band released a promotional four-song EP in past due 2002. The established generated hype for Hotwire’s debut full-length Schedule, which lowered in June 2003. Its discharge was timed to coincide using the band’s performances on that summer’s Ozzfest.
