Shaped in 2011 in Porterville, California, Resort Books may be the task of spoken term poet Cameron Smith. Delivering his intense, cathartic poetry more than a musical mixture of ambient, post-hardcore, and emo, Smith and his bandmates possess toured extensively through the entire U.S., European countries, and Australia. Smith was attracted to both fringe facet of spoken term poetry also to the opportunity to focus on composing lyrics unhindered by melody. A devout Christian, he views Hotel Books in an effort to inform his personal tale without excluding nonbelievers. Employing a revolving ensemble of bandmembers through the entire years, they documented some four EPs you start with Contact Me Individual in later 2011, all released on Smith’s very own Dead Words Collective label. After putting your signature on with InVogue Information in 2014, the music group released the double-EP, I’m Nearly Happy Right here, But I Hardly ever Feel in the home, in July of this year. 2015 noticed the discharge of both Resort Books’ initial full-length, Run Crazy, Teen Beauty, and Smith’s poetry reserve, Most Evenings, I Wish IT HAD BEEN You, both via InVogue. The reserve acted as sort of partner piece towards the record, containing each one of the 12 brand-new poems, and several older Resort Books poems and brief tales. A follow-up record, Run Crazy, Stay Alive, premiered the following summer months.
