A soulful feminine R&B/country-pop trio from LA, California, Hot hit it big in 1977 using their sultry rendition from the Clayton Ivey, Terrence Woodford, and Tom Brasfield-penned “Angel inside your Hands,” which became a global hit and peaked at the quantity six slot in the Billboard Best 100. Produced in 1976 throughout the abilities of seasoned program performers Gwen Owens, Cathy Carson, and Juanita Curiel, the trio released their eponymous debut LP in 1977 via Big Tree Information, a subsidiary of Atlantic. Combined with the chart-topping “Angel inside your Hands,” which also became popular for Barbara Mandrell in 1985, the record spawned the singles “Best Feeling at the incorrect Period” and “You Brought the girl Out of Me.” The trio’s second and third outings, 1978’s IN THE EVENT THAT’S how you Want It…YOU HAVE It and 1980’s Strong Jointly, were well received, but didn’t match the business success of their debut, and by the finish of 1982, the music group had ceased functions.
