Chicago ska-revival band Hot Range Jimmy formed in early 1994; roster adjustments frequently plagued the group, even though nine-piece line-up of frontman Matt Irie, guitarists Keith Danek and Brett Meingasner, bassist Rob Willy, keyboardist Sam Ambrosini, saxophonists Jeff Vidmont and Matt Thullen, trumpeter Tag Beening and drummer Anthony Spila loved some longevity through the latter area of the 10 years. Hot Range Jimmy’s demo INVEST SOME TIME was officially released in the Hit Out Reckhords label in 1995; their correct debut, Salute, implemented on Jump Up! a season later. Some compilation performances preceded the 1999 discharge of Theme for a significant Hit.
