Egyptian indigenous Hossam Ramzy may be the leader and main percussionist of Pharaoh’s Egyptian Outfit, most widely known to Traditional western listeners because the backing group presented on Robert Herb and Jimmy Page’s Zero Quarter tour and album. Ramzy started playing the darabouka (Egyptian tabla) at a age, very much to his father’s dismay.
