Multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music director of Andes folk group Inti Illimani, Horacio Salinas has taken the original music of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Argentina towards the worldwide stage. A chemical substance engineering pupil at Santiago Techie College or university, in the middle-’60s, Salinas considered music after conference other musically willing students who shaped Inti Illimani in August 1967. Since signing up for the group, in Oct 1967, Salinas provides played an important role within their musical advancement. While touring with Inti Illimani in European countries, Salinas discovered his as well as the band’s passports revoked following uprising that led to Chilean leader Salvador Allende getting deposed. For another 14 years, he and fellow music group members structured their functions in Rome, Italy, while touring around the world. Time for Chile to execute a much-heralded concert in 1998, Salinas and Inti Illimani shifted home completely in 1990.
