Hoop

Indie soft pop quartet Hoop initially began like a saving task by singer/songwriter Caitlin Roberts and multi-instrumentalist Nich Wilbur in Anacortes, Washington. During Roberts’ eight-month tenure in the tiny Pacific Northwest city, she and Wilbur monitored the majority of what would ultimately become Hoop’s debut LP, Super Genuine. The band’s dreamy, sparse, and psychological alt-pop demonstrates wistfully within the area’s grunge heyday while infusing a distinctively contemporary feminist bent. After Roberts shifted back again to Seattle, she enlisted bandmates Leena Joshi, Pamela Santiago, and Inge Chiles to full Hoop’s lineup. Featuring visitor shows from Allyson Foster and Briana Marela, Super Genuine premiered by Decency Den Information in early 2017.
