Droning and mysterious, British band Hookworms possess a audio that pulls together among the better components of neo-psychedelia, Krautrock, and space rock and roll, merging them into murky, mind-altering blasts of socially conscious sound rock and roll. The Leeds-based music group, whose members move just by their initials (MJ on vocals, keyboards and creation, JW and SS on guitarist, MB on bass and drummer JN) in order to avoid placing themselves above their music, emerged together in ’09 2009, and released their self-titled EP on Gringo Information two years afterwards.
