An accomplished bluegrass and nation singer, Honi Deaton can be an adept bassist and songwriter who mind the bluegrass group Fantasy alongside her guitarist spouse Jeff Deaton. Created in Tx, Deaton first started carrying out with her vocal/piano trainer mother within their group Spirit and Nation, which toured churches through the entire Midwest. Ultimately, the family shifted to Idaho and Deaton started performing in a variety of high-school musicals in addition to DJing at an area radio train station. Passing on the classical music scholarship or grant to the faculty of Idaho, Deaton rather decided to go after her curiosity about nation music and became a member of the bluegrass ensemble the Grasshoppers. Touring together for eight years, Deaton ultimately met and wedded guitarist Jeff Deaton. The duo relocated to Georgia in 2001 and produced Wish with banjo participant Kristin Scott Benson, fiddle participant Dewey Dark brown, and mandolin participant Chris Davis. The ensemble released its debut record, What MUST HAVE Been, in 2003.
