Originally forming beneath the moniker of Honeyboy Turner and Cryin’ Heart in 1992, the lineup of John “Honeyboy” Turner (vocals/ harmonica), Harvey Brindell (guitar), Mike Brindell (guitar), Gary Williams (drums), and Dave Wagner (bass) imported basics of Chicago-style blues with their native of Lincoln, NE. -ismist Information ultimately captured this audio on the debut full-length, Preachin’ the Blues, in 1995. But within a calendar year after its discharge, guitarist Harvey Brindell departed, the band shortened its name to Honeyboy Turner, and -ismist released the live EP Live on the Zoo. Nevertheless, this period was short-lived as Honeyboy Turner parted methods in Dec of 1996. Mike Brindell and Dave Steen continued to create the Lost Canines while John “Honeyboy” Turner became a member of the Tranquility Corps.
