Honey Ltd.

All-female vocal ensemble Honey Ltd. shaped in Detroit in 1967 as the people were going to Wayne State College or university. Originally going from the name the Mama Pet cats, the group included Laura Polkinghome, Marsha Jo Temmer, and sisters Joan and Alexandra Sliwin. Displays support Bob Seger helped improve the band’s profile, and in 1968 they shifted to LA to record an recording with legendary vocalist/songwriter Lee Hazlewood. Hazlewood renamed the group Honey Ltd. and created the band’s debut recording, which presented musical support via the Wrecking Team.
