Home Town Hero

This LA, California, USA-based alt rock-band was formed in 2000 by Aaron Bruno (vocals/guitar), Drew Stewart (guitar), Todd Burnes (bass) and Ray Blanco (drums). The quartet, all fairly young veterans from the LA hardcore picture, originally performed as Insurgence but transformed their name quickly before putting your signature on a recording agreement with Maverick Information. Released in 2002, their self-titled debut record was a reliable cut of post-grunge rock and roll, with notable features including the one ‘Queries’, ‘Who’s To State’, as well as the hard rocking ‘Operate Best Through’. Despite a warm vital reception the record didn’t make a lot of an impact within a congested marketplace, and Burnes and Blanco still left shortly soon after. Bruno and Stewart finished a second record, Bitch Town, before departing Maverick and developing the funk-tinged CONSUMING Giants.
