Holy Balm

Holy Balm are an Australian indie dance trio comprising Anna John, Emma Ramsay, and Jonathan Hochman. Inspired by early home music and post-punk, they have a homemade, D.We.Y. method of dance music, playing their keyboards and drum devices instantly and choosing the feeling instead of obsessing over specialized excellence. The group produced in 2006 and started developing its psychedelic dance sound. After several limited cassette and CD-R produces, they released a 7″ one on Hustle Muscles in 2011. This is accompanied by their full-length debut, It’s You, released in 2012 by R.We.P. Culture in Australia rather than Not Fun in the us. The group toured America to get the album, writing the stage with NNF labelmates such as for example Maria Minerva and Xander Harris. After many years of touring and sharpening their songwriting abilities, Holy Balm’s second record, Activity, made an appearance on Section Music in 2016.
