Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub

The Austrian music group Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub (Holstuonar or HMBC for short) was founded in 2003 by five college students from Vorarlberg Music University, who mixed folk music with contemporary pop plus some jazz, hip-hop, and reggae elements. After their 1st two albums, Querschlager (“Cross-Hit”) in 2007 and Totally free Sin in 2008, the group celebrated an excellent success using the tune “Vo Mello bis ge Schoppornou” (“From Mellau up to Schoppernau”) this year 2010: the tune spent a complete of 33 weeks in the Austrian graphs, peaking at number 2, as well as the associated YouTube video maintained more than a million sights. This was implemented in 2011 with the band’s third record, Lieble, which included all-original compositions for the very first time; it reached amount 12 in the graphs and included the comical one “What Happened towards the Edelweiß I Gave You YESTERDAY EVENING?” In 2012 they released the live record Grüsele Live; also that season, the group earned — for “Vo Mello” — the Amadeus Austrian Music Prize for Tune of the entire year.
