Holly Hofmann

A fantastic bop-oriented flutist, Holly Hofmann began over the flute when she was five. She acquired extensive classical schooling and, in 1984, when she transferred to NORTH PARK, Hofmann started playing jazz full-time. She caused Adam Moody, Slide Hampton, and Mundell Lowe, amongst others, prior to making her documenting debut on Capri (1989). Hofmannwent to record great straight-ahead schedules for Jazz Alliance (1992) and Azica, business lead her own groupings, and played frequently in the NORTH PARK area.
