Holland Puckett

b. 15 July 1899, The Hollow, Patrick State, Virginia, USA, d. 28 July 1934. Puckett, an excellent singer, also performed acoustic guitar, banjo and harmonica. Small is well known of his early existence but by enough time he reached maturity, he previously relocated to Support Airy, NEW YORK and gained his living operating like a bookkeeper. In his free time, he started to play with numerous groups of music artists in the region. His singing drawn the interest of the first documenting businesses and in 1927/8, along with his personal acoustic guitar and harmonica accompaniment, he documented three classes for Gennett in Richmond, Indiana. He documented, in every, some 20 edges with materials that assorted from ‘A Mom’s Guidance’, ‘The Damaged Engagement’, ‘The Dying Cowboy’ (most likely his most widely known documenting) and ‘Place On Your Aged Grey Bonnet’ to ‘Drunken Hiccoughs’ and ‘The Important Opening In The Door’. For reasons uknown some recordings made an appearance as Si Puckett as well as others beneath the pseudonym Harvey Watson. The Depressive disorder prevented him producing additional recordings and Puckett’s existence found an untimely result in July 1934, when he passed away of a blade wound received throughout a dispute more than a card game.
