Hit the Lights

The Lima, Ohio-based emocore music group Hit the Lighting formed in the summertime of 2003. Vocalist Colin Ross and guitarist Omar Zehery acquired previously teamed jointly within the little-known group Goodbye Program, while guitarist Nick Thompson tenured with the summertime Departure. Bassist David Bermosk and drummer Nate Truck Dame (a previous roadie for emo favorites Hawthorne Heights) finished the lineup, and after acquiring their name from a monitor on Metallica’s important debut LP Wipe out ‘Em All, Strike the Lights gained a fervent cult pursuing based on their feverish concert events. Studio time implemented, as well as the group documented a divide EP using a Day in the life span and Crimson Affair, 2004’s From Ohio with Appreciate. After self-releasing the Until We Obtain Captured EP in 2005, Strike the Lights agreed upon to the Triple Crown label, which reissued the disk before the band’s initial full-length work, 2006’s THAT IS a Stay Up…Don’t Produce It all a Murder. In 2007, Ross parted methods with the music group, and Nick Thompson had taken over because the vocalist for 2008’s Neglect School, Start Battles. Guitarist Kevin Mahoney became a member of the lineup for the next year’s Coastline to Coastline EP, and in 2012 the quintet released Invicta in the Sony subsidiary Razor & Link. In 2014 the music group inked a cope with Pure Sound Records and started focus on their 4th studio room long-player. The causing Summer Bones slipped in March of the next season, and was implemented an EP, Merely to Get Through for you, in early 2016.
