Hipsway

Scottish pop combo Hipsway was shaped in 1984 by ex-Altered Pictures bassist Jon McElhone; also offering vocalist Graham Skinner, guitarist Pim Jones and drummer Harry Travers, the group authorized to Mercury and in mid-1985 released their debut solitary “Broken Years.” The follow-up, “Inquire god, the father,” appeared several months later on, but despite a solid promotional drive Hipsway didn’t garner much interest until scoring popular early the next 12 months with “Honey Thief.” Their self-titled debut recording also released a fourth solitary, “Long White colored Car,” however the band’s graph success demonstrated fleeting — the next Hipsway recording, 1989’s Scratch the top, sold poorly plus they disbanded immediately after its launch. Skinner and Jones later on reunited as users of Witness.
