The analog synth-driven solo project of Yukon Blonde frontman Jeffrey Innes, Canadian indie electro-pop outfit High Ends found fruition in 2013 throughout a temporary break along with his flagship music group. Primarily a single vehicle, Innes were able to recruit several talented musician close friends for the task, including Louise Burns up and New Pornographer Kathryn Calder on back-up vocals, Platinum & Youth’s Jeff Mitchelmore on percussion, and Ladyhawk’s Darcy Hancock on acoustic guitar. Innes released the 1st single, “The Excess weight,” beneath the moniker in-may, 2014, using the Dine Alone-issued full-length Super Course arriving later on that October.
