Following the demise of Brass Knuckles for Rough Guys, former bassist and vocalist Chris met up with drummer Shane after his band Managra split up around once. Using the accompaniment of guitarist Patrick, Hero of 100 Fights was created in 1998. Structured out of Wisconsin — and with Chris producing the habitual commute from Illinois every weekend — 404 Information released their self-titled debut in 2000, that was a good dosage of Drive Like Jehu, Trenchmouth, and A Forest. Remote the Cool followed in springtime 2001.
