Among the Netherlands’ biggest rock and roll stars through the ’70s and ’80s, Herman Brood also gained notoriety for his lifelong dependence on drink and medicines, as well as for his profession in the visual arts. Affected by piano stompers like Small Richard and Fat Domino, Brood began monitoring at art college by enough time he was 17; twelve months later, nevertheless, education became a second concern after he became a member of a group known as the Moans.
