Crafting seductive R&B that homes in on the easiest — & most mysterious — areas of desire, Nantes, France’s Her may be the task of Simon Carpentier and Victor Solf. The set met in senior high school, where Solf, a German indigenous, is at choir and performed traditional piano and Carpentier performed saxophone. Ahead of developing Her, they performed in another group that attained some achievement in European countries before disbanding. Solf and Carpentier after that had taken their music in an exceedingly different path, borrowing motivation from sounds which range from Motown to Kendrick Lamar. They spent 2 yrs writing and documenting 20 music before launching Her’s debut one, “THAT CAN COMPARE WITH,” in Apr 2015. The song’s simple audio and erotically billed video quickly obtained the duo a pursuing, and paved just how for 2016’s Her Tape #1 EP (among its music, “5 MINUTES,” made an appearance in Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” advertisement advertising campaign). In 2017, Carpentier and Solf came back with Her Tape #2, a couple of songs discovering feminism and romantic relationships.
