A musical satirist within the custom of Tom Lehrer, sardonic folkie Henry Phillips was created November 14, 1969. As a teenager he drew his main musical motivation from Billy Joel, penning heartfelt, delicate tunes of his personal, but he ultimately turned to even more comic material, growing as a favorite attraction within the Los Angeles golf club circuit. A normal at the popular L.A. humor nightspot the Improv and a preferred of radio’s Dr. Demento, Phillips self-released his debut recording, On the Shoulder blades of Freaks, in 1996; the record was consequently reissued by Oglio, which also released his sophomore work, #2 2, in 1999. Why Haven’t I Noticed from You? adopted within the Clowny’s Big Locks label in 2005.
