Henri Barraud

After training for your wine trade, Barraud considered a musical career and studied composition, fugue and orchestration on the Paris Conservatoire. He was shortly expelled from the institution for composing a string quartet that was as well unconventional. He participated in arranging Level of resistance broadcasting in France and afterwards became director from the Program National. With this placement he released many fresh types of music towards the French general public and generally helped to improve the French specifications of efficiency. Barraud’s compositons are elegant, moving and constantly inventive. He declined the usage of avant-garde options for simple effect or design, and through the 1960’s he ceased composing altogether to be able to research new compositional methods and how they could be helpful for his personal musical language.
