Helms Alee

Produced in 2007, Seattle, Washington’s Helms Alee meld jangly shoegaze with sludge to make a hybrid sound almost all their very own. Featuring the abilities of previous Harkonen bassist Ben Verellen on electric guitar aswell as bassist Dana Adam and drummer Hozoji Margullis, the music group’s loose, melodic sludge concurrently evokes the effervescent discordance from the Pixies as well as the pounding heaviness of Big Business. The trio produced its full-length debut in 2008 with Evening Terror, released by Hydra Mind. Because of their sophomore record, Helms Alee went in to the studio room with Without the Keep’s Matt Bayles, who make their 2011 record, Weatherhead. Another record, Sleepwalking Sailors, appeared on Sargent Home in early 2014, with Stillicide falling in August 2016.
