Hellworms

Yet another cooperation between guitarist/vocalist Ralph Spight and bassist Larry Boothroyd, the Hellworms follow in the footsteps of Bay Area hardcore band Victim’s Family members (1984-94) and Saturn’s Flea Training collar (1996-97); this group is definitely curved out by drummer Joaquin Spengemann (Walrus). The Hellworms had been created in 1997 following break up of Saturn’s Flea Training collar, allegedly selecting their name because both Jello Biafra and their parents disliked it. After starting for such works as Mike Watt and NoMeansNo, the group documented its debut record, Crowd Repellent, that was released in 1998.
