Hellwitch

Although Hellwitch’s cryptically named debut album, Syzygial Miscreancy, premiered in 1990, their story begins in the past in 1984, when vocalist/guitarist Patrick Ranieri and friend Harry Tyler (drums) documented the one-song Nosferatu demo in the living space from the former’s apartment in Gainesville, FL. A lot more demos adopted and had been circulated in underground tape-trading circles in the intervening years, all of them showing the gradual advancement of Hellwitch’s progressively technical thrash/loss of life steel as performed by ever-changing lineups. During these LP’s discharge, Hellwitch was located in Fort Lauderdale and highlighted Ranieri, drummer Joe Schnessel, and bassist Tommy Mouser; but second guitarist J. Pierce and brand-new bassist Jesse Trevino acquired joined with time for 1991’s Terraasymmetry EP, which, like its forerunner, was made by loss of life metal expert Scott Uses up. Neither shifted more than enough systems to perpetuate Hellwitch’s profession, nevertheless, and, after some more demos, Ranieri known as it quits, just resurrecting the group for periodic one-off gigs until 2005 whenever a brand-new EP entitled The Epitome of Disgrace unexpectedly found the light of time.
