Helicon

Helicon was formed in 1983 by Chris Norman and Ken Kolodner. Norman, who performed flute and whistle, was a university drop-out, while Kolodner, who handled hammered dulcimer and fiddle, experienced a Ph.D. Collectively, this unlikely set started carrying out and touring, basing their audio on a distributed desire for celtic music. This curiosity was reflected within their 1st recording, Daybreak, released in 1985. In 1986, they added acoustic guitar and cittern participant Robin Bullock with their lineup and started to branch out using their celtic origins to explore various musical traditions, which range from SOUTH USA to China.
