Heidi Mortenson

Inspired by equal elements of her mother’s organ playing and her father’s noisy automotive function, Heidi Mortenson was raised in a little town in Denmark. She afterwards shifted to Copenhagen to review contemporary dance and artwork, but finished up finding digital music. This led to a swift proceed to Barcelona, where she started an intensive research of consumer electronics and digital music. Her audio is a cross between your anti-folk of Ani DiFranco as well as the experimental IDM of Kevin Blechdom (whom she’s the event to collaborate with inside a live establishing), and her live shows are a media demonstration of visuals and custom-made instrumentation. Her debut recording Wired Stuff was released on Wired recordings in Apr of 2006.
