Hedvig Mollestad Thomassen

Hedwig Mollestad Thomassen is a Norwegian guitarist, composer, and improviser dynamic in both hard rock and roll and jazz moments. She produced the Hedwig Mollestad Trio with Brekken and Bjørnstad soon after. This year 2010, she made an appearance being a visitor soloist on Jarle Bernhoft’s cassette-only providing 1:Guy 2:Music group. Her trio’s debut record, Shoot!, made an appearance on Rune Grammofon in 2011, and was broadly acclaimed because of its bracing mixture of hard rock and roll, metal, and free of charge jazz. They released a self-titled recording on Rune Grammofon. Her personal trio played in the Steinkjerfestivalen that summer season. The Hedwig Mollestad Trio’s sophomore documenting, Most of Them Witches, premiered in 2013 to common acclaim in jazz, avant-garde, and indie rock and roll circles. She also documented a studio recording using the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra entitled Ekko that yr and made an appearance with them live.
