Heavenly Defeat may be the side project of Seaside Fossils bassist John Pena. He started writing and executing beneath the moniker in past due 2009, crafting dreamy electro-pop around his soft vocals. The initial Heavenly Defeat discharge, the Suday one for Captured Paths, found its way to 2011, accompanied by the Faithless one immediately after. Pena started focus on a Heavenly Defeat record in 2012, leading to Talent, released that July. He still left Seaside Fossils immediately after to spotlight Heavenly Defeat full-time and started work on another recording. After scrapping the outcomes of classes that occurred in a genuine studio room, Pena retreated to his home to record. Prominence, which presented Pena playing all of the instruments apart from a few key pad parts carried out by Daniel Schlett and Christian Barsi, premiered by Captured Songs in Oct of 2013.
