Hearts of Palm UK

The California-based electronic pop trio Hearts of Hand UK build a mixture of ’80s-influenced brand-new wave and indie pop. Originally a duo made up of close friends Erica Elektra (vocals, keyboards, and guitars) and Sonia Powell aka Frankie Rose (percussion and keyboards), the group produced in past due 2006 and quickly documented a four-song demonstration that received nods from printing and online magazines. This attention resulted in Elektra being called America’s Greatest Up-and-Coming Feminine Musician in GenArt and Biore Skincare’s Undiscover/Discover competition in 2007. The honor was included with a economic prize that provided the band more than enough money to produce a correct album. Dealing with manufacturer Dan Horne, the duo earned outside musicians to greatly help using the documenting sessions and eventually added keyboardist/cellist Jamie Kaye towards the group’s lineup. Hearts of Hand UK’s full-length debut, FOREVER, premiered by Hypnote in Oct 2008.
