Headless Heroes

Companies Eddie Bezalel and Hugo Nicolson launched Headless Heroes in 2008, looking to record a covers-only recording with several handpicked music artists. Nicolson drew upon his LA connections to put together several studio room instrumentalists — including Josh Klinghoffer, Woody Jackson, Joey Waronker, Leo Abrahams, and Gus Seyffert — while Bezalel sought out an effective vocalist via MySpace, ultimately selecting Alela Diane. Beneath the suppliers’ guidance, the band documented songs by famous brands Nick Cave, the Jesus and Mary String, Linda Perhacs, as well as the Mild Soul. The completed item, The Silence of Like, premiered in past due 2008.
