Headgirl

A task conceived by Uk rock rings Motörhead and Girlschool, both of whom shared exactly the same supervisor and record organization, Bronze. The cooperation arose when Motörhead needed to cancel a tour after their drummer, Phil Taylor, broke his throat. They were in a Girlschool documenting session when maker Vic Maile recommended which they work together. The effect was an EP, St. Valentine’s Day time Massacre, spearheaded by ‘Make sure you Don’t Contact’, a cover edition of the Johnny Kidd AS WELL AS THE Pirates track from 1960. This is recorded in Dec 1980 in the Jackson studio room, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, and its own success resulted in Headgirl (an amalgamation from the titles of both bands) appearing a minimum of 3 x on the united kingdom television music program THE SURFACE OF THE Pops.
