Havana Black

A pseudonymous quartet of Guts (vocals), Crazy (electric guitar), Risto (bass) and J.T. (bass), Finnish large metal/blues rock and roll group Havana Dark released their local debut record in 1988. This is quickly accompanied by an international discharge for Capitol Information. The sound on Indian Warrior was cited by critics as a primary descendent from the middle-70s function of Bad Business and Humble Pie, though their stage display had more in keeping with the road imagery of fellow countrymen Hanoi Stones. A lot of the tracks were exactly like those included on the domestic debut, even though some from the lyrics have been sanitized for the American marketplace. It was seriously marketed but fared badly in market saturated with fellow 70s revivalist rings like the Dark Crowes as well as the Quireboys.
