Composer Harry Brooks was created Sept 20, 1895, in Homestead, PA, and remains to be best-known for the jazz perennial “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” his 1929 cooperation with Fatty acids Waller and lyricist Andy Razaf. Exactly the same trio also became a member of pushes for “(What Do I Do to become So) Dark and Blue” and “Jungle Jamboree.” In 1938, Brooks also co-wrote “Southern Sunset (Once the Sunlight Pieces Down South)” with Sidney Bechet and Noble Sissle, but was usually known less being a composer than as a pianist. He passed away June 22, 1970, in Teaneck, NJ.
