Harriet Brown is usually a producer, guitarist, singer, and songwriter who classifies his impassioned ’80s-flavored R&B as passionate funk. Originally from your Bay Area and finally based in LA, Dark brown debuted on Experience So Actual in 2014 with New Period, a five-track launch that appeared as if it originated from 1987 while sounding like retro-futuristic machine spirit spiked with classic Japanese art-pop components, howling falsetto vocals, and scorching acoustic guitar solos. The EP’s “Quit Think” premiered the following 12 months as an electronic maxi-single with remixes from four performers, including Suzanne Kraft. Brown’s following major launch was an recording, Contact, released on Innovative Amusement in 2017. At that time, Brown have been highlighted on tracks with the Bilinda Butchers (“Heaven Keeps a location”), Classixx (“Eye on Me”), and AR Ferdinand (“As YOU WANT”).
