Harold Morrison

b. Harold Ralph Morrison, 30 January 1931, Highlonesome, Missouri, USA, d. 21 Dec 1993, Springfield, Missouri, USA. Morrison performed banjo, guitar, metal electric guitar and dobro and was also a talented comedian. He produced his initial radio performances in 1950 and the next season, he teamed up with fiddler/guitarist Jimmy Gateley, initial dealing with the Crimson River Rustlers on KJSB Jamestown, North Dakota, prior to the two shifted to WWVA Wheeling, Western world Virginia. They proved helpful mainly being a duo but on events also performed in Dusty Owens’ music group and performed on Columbia Information periods with Owens in 1954. They shifted to Springfield in 1955 where they truly became cast members from the recently shaped Ozark Jubilee and in addition toured with Crimson Foley. Morrison also begun to play being a program musician. He documented using the Browns, playing metal guitar on the big strike ‘I Consider The Opportunity’ and with Porter Wagoner, where he performed banjo on that vocalist’s popular figures ‘I’m Stepping Out Tonight’ and ‘A Great Time Was Experienced By All’. In 1957, he relocated to Nashville where he performed metal and dobro on several Decca Information recordings with Kitty Wells, including on her behalf strike ‘I Can’t Quit Caring You’ and on some RCA – Victor Information edges with Johnny Wright. Morrison also toured using the Wells/Wright display for quite a while. He next became a member of the Wilburn Brothers both on tour and on the tv series. He performed banjo on Loretta Lynn’s strike ‘Blue Kentucky Woman’. He produced some recordings for Audience’s Break down in 1959 and in the middle-60s, he produced single recordings for Decca that included instrumentals and humor tunes. In 1969, he became a member of George Jones and Tammy Wynette; remained with them until they divorced and used Wynette’s music group. In 1975, along with his child Karla and Benny Williams, he created the Smoking cigarettes Bluegrass Music group that toured for a few years and made an appearance at main bluegrass festivals. Once they disbanded Morrison used various models but between 1985 and 1987, he previously a music group in Branson. In 1989, he was with Ferlin Husky carrying out at their personal theater in Myrtle Seaside, SC, when Hurricane Hugo demolished the complicated. After doing work for a period with Grandpa Jones, he fronted a fresh display at Myrtle Seaside before time for Branson in 1992. Morrison passed away of heart failing carrying out a cerebral haemorrhage.
