Hard Candy shaped in 1992 when Wayne E. Jones and Jeff Wiggins met up in Brooks Region, GA. They began composing and documenting in Sept of 1992. In Sept of 1994, they added a fresh member with their lineup, Brooke Martin. From Feb 1996 to June 1996 they created some house recordings that resulted in the creation of their debut EP, Sweatin’ towards the Indies. In Apr of 1997, Martin parted organization with Hard Chocolate. Soon afterward, Hard Chocolate released Sweatin’ towards the Indies. In Feb of 1998, Will Joiner was put into the Hard Chocolate lineup. Hard Chocolate then felt these were prepared for live shows. From Apr to July of 1998, Hard Chocolate was also in the saving studio focusing on the recording COME OUT the Fire. In August of 1998, Hard Chocolate contributed a track to Verfrumdungseffekt: The Tunes of Stephen Merritt. In 1998 Hard Chocolate along with Lloyd “Friend” Wheeler created an archive label, Screven Musical Companions, dedicated to getting timeless pop tunes to a dated populace.
