Though located in NY, Hanzel Und Gretyl sing their trance/commercial tracks mainly in German. After developing in the ashes of other Big Apple commercial bands — using a lineup including programmer and guitarist Lupia, vocalist Vas Kallas, bassist Ginger Loaf of bread and drummer Pat Wolff — Hanzel Und Gretyl made an appearance on the compilation known as COP International Chaos. New York’s Energy Information became interested and agreed upon the band because of their debut record, Ausgeflippt, released in past due 1995. After showing up on several schedules with Marilyn Manson and touring throughout the U.S., the quartet came back with sophomore record Transmissions from Uranus in 1997.
