Hans Hartz

German singer/songwriter Hans Hartz was created in the interface town of Husum in 1943. In 1967 he fronted the Hamburg-based, skiffle-infused skirt music group Lake. He released his debut (& most well-known) record, Sturm, in 1982, which highlighted the popular one “Die Weißen Tauben Sind Müde.” The record proceeded to go platinum and set up the gravel-voiced crooner being a big participant in the local pop circuit. Nur Steine Leben Lang found its way to 1983, accompanied by Musik aus der Ferne in 1985. In 1991 Hartz arrived an international strike with “Sail Away,” a melody that attracted significant amounts of interest through its make use of in a tv advertising campaign for Beck’s ale. Hartz continuing to tour and record through the entire ’90s. He passed away from complications because of lung malignancy in 2002.
